Shift the Season with Orange Sky

The holiday season is a time of connection and celebration, but not for everyone. Thousands of Australians experience hardship and uncertainty during this time of year.

Every day, Orange Sky’s volunteers provide connection through simple, practical support, clean laundry, warm showers, and a chat. But over the holiday season, when many services slow down, that connection becomes even more important.

Orange Sky’s Shift the Season campaign asks businesses to help keep our shifts running across Australia during the holidays. Each contribution ensures our vans stay on the road and our volunteers can continue offering care, conversation and community to people doing it tough. Together, we can ensure that connection doesn’t take a break this holiday season.

Orange Sky Australia is the world’s first free mobile laundry service, dedicated to supporting people experiencing homelessness and hardship. Started from a garage in suburban Brisbane, the idea was founded by two 20-year-old mates, Nic Marchesi and Lucas Patchett.

We provide a supportive, welcoming and inclusive space for anyone experiencing loneliness or disconnection from the community, with a focus on improving hygiene, health and quality of life.

We're a simple service that makes a huge difference for those doing it tough.
