Orange Sky is a non-profit organisation providing free mobile laundry and shower services to people experiencing homelessness.
Each week, thousands of volunteers give their time to help positively connect some of the 122,000 Australians doing it tough. The focus is on creating a safe, positive and supportive environment for people who are too often ignored or feel disconnected from the community.
By raising funds for Orange Sky, you will be supporting these vital services and helping to keep our vans on the road. We currently operate 56 services across 34 locations in Australia - but we need your help to reach more friends in need.
An Orange Sky Shift
Every shift has a team of three or four volunteers who are rostered on regular weekly or fortnightly shifts. We always work alongside service providers to ensure that we’re best supporting the community.
Friends & Volunteers
You will hear the word ‘friend’ used a lot at Orange Sky. We don’t refer to people who use our service as clients or customers - they are our friends.
A Great Conversation
Orange Sky provides a laundry and shower service, but it’s the connection and conversations that happen on shift while sitting on orange chairs that have the greatest impact.
