The biggest impact you can have is by starting a conversation - whether it’s with friends or family, or in the classroom - you don’t need a bright orange van or a washing machine to make a difference.

You can support Orange Sky by:

  • Using our resources to start conversations
  • Holding a fundraiser at your school, uni or community group
  • Participating in The Sudsy Challenge

Be sure to reach out at hello@orangesky.org if you’re keen to raise some funds to support Orange Sky.

We love learning at Orange Sky, so we want to make it easy for both educators and students to learn about homelessness and help our friends doing it tough!

We have a range of activities and information packs for students of all ages to find out more about Orange Sky and share our mission in positively connecting communities.

Volunteering

While we currently aren’t able to have under 18s volunteer on Orange Sky shifts, if you're approaching your 18th birthday you can pre-register through our volunteer sign up form. We’ll be in touch once you turn 18 to let you know of any shifts in need of volunteers (and wish you a happy birthday of course!).

We generally ask that new volunteers commit to a minimum of fortnightly shifts for around 6 months.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer group volunteering or outreach opportunities for under 18s or school groups at this stage.

Guest presenters from Orange Sky

Our co-founders Nic & Lucas originally had the idea for a mobile laundry after volunteering with their school food truck, so we know the importance of instilling good values and giving back to your community while at school. Nic & Lucas are a little busy these days but we have volunteers all across Australia at our shift locations that may be able to present at your school.

If you'd like an Orange Sky presentation at your school, we encourage you to first get involved with us. We love a chat but please bear in mind we receive hundreds of request every year and prioritise schools that are supporting us as reward and recognition for their hard work. If you need more information, please complete the contact form below.

Still need more information or just want to chat to a real person?

Fill out your details and a member of the Orange Sky team will be in touch!
